Help Desk IT Support Technician (x3)

The support technician interfaces directly with customers by telephone, email, and in person.  The primary responsibility is to troubleshoot application, database, operating system, and hardware related issues.  The technician will document and track trouble tickets, determine severity, ensure efficient resolution, and escalate when necessary.  In addition, they will perform on-site installation, training and quality assurance as well as assist with technical sales and software documentation.

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

• Strong problem solving ability

• Solid understanding of Oracle SQL-Plus for troubleshooting

• Experience installing/configuring Linux web servers

• Experience installing/configuring Windows servers

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Candidates should have:

• Experience configuring Linux-based firewalls, routers and VPNs

• Experience interfacing with telecommunications equipment for CDR

• Experience maintaining Oracle Forms and Reports
